Report Sexual Exploitation and Abuse
If you have encountered misconduct by an individual working in refugee response, it is not your fault. You have the right to report this by filing a complaint with UNHCR through one of the available channels.
Reports of concerns, suspicions, or cases of sexual exploitation and abuse by a worker involved in refugee situations, whether to UNHCR or any other humanitarian organization, will not affect your rights or access to humanitarian assistance.
Complaints are handled safely and confidentially: your name and personal information will not be disclosed without your consent.
It is important to know that if you have become a victim of sexual exploitation and violence, you have the right to safety, protection, psychosocial, medical, legal support, and any other relevant services.
If you file a complaint, it will be investigated, and if applicable, UNHCR or the organization employing the alleged perpetrator will initiate an investigation. Actions of those allegedly involved in sexual exploitation and violence must be investigated, and if guilt is proven, they must be held accountable following proper legal procedures and confidentiality.
Remember, your safety and dignity are always paramount. Do not hesitate to report misconduct, as it can help prevent further abuse and ensure justice. You can call the number 080080011 or visit online: https://stopviolenta.md/
A word from the general director
" The year 2023 has been marked by a multitude of challenges, new beginnings, and successes. This year once again demonstrates that things seemingly impossible, certain barriers, and disillusionments can be overcome through teamwork, synergy, and creativity.
We have implemented projects, conceived new ideas. In 2023, almost everything we set out to achieve was successful, surpassing expectations.
The war in Ukraine has left a profound impact on us and continues to affect us, prompting us to care for citizens coming from neighboring countries and create new opportunities for the integration of refugees here in the Republic of Moldova.
There are individuals who have nowhere to return, their homes are destroyed, children lack access to quality education, and many other obstacles these people face have motivated us to actively engage in assisting them."
