Tarna Rom recently organized an interactive workshop on gender-based violence (GBV) prevention in the city of Bender, aimed at Roma adolescents — both refugees and members of the local community.
Through participatory activities, open discussions, and role-playing exercises, the young participants learned how to recognize risk situations, protect themselves, and most importantly, support each other’s rights and dignity.
The atmosphere was one of trust and solidarity, where every voice was heard. In a context often marked by discrimination or vulnerability, creating a safe space for dialogue, mutual support, and education is essential.
We firmly believe that every adolescent has the right to grow up in safety, with respect, and equal opportunities — no matter where they come from.
