📍At the “Alexandr Pushkin” Theoretical Lyceum in Anenii Noi, the Tarna Rom team, in collaboration with UNHCR Moldova, the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, and UNICEF Moldova, organized an information session for teachers from local educational institutions.
🎙️ The special guest, a representative of the “Porojan” Association, shared the history of the Roma community from a deeply human perspective, emphasizing both its hardships and resilience throughout history.
💬 The discussions addressed the role of psychological assistance in schools and methods adapted for Roma refugee students, highlighting the importance of an empathetic and individualized approach.
🌼 A teacher involved in the literacy program for Roma refugees from Ukraine shared her experience, speaking about the students’ progress and the positive changes observed in the community.
🤝 Through such actions, Tarna Rom continues its mission to foster social cohesion, ensure equal access to education, and promote respect for diversity — contributing to a more inclusive and united society.
🙏 We thank our partners — UNHCR Moldova and UNICEF Moldova — for their continuous support, as well as all teachers for their active engagement in promoting education for all.
