On April 18, AO UTR "Tarna Rom" participated in the "Consultations on the Inclusion and Rights of the Roma Population in the Context of Mapping the Support for the Roma Population by UN Moldova," organized at the Jolly Alon Hotel in Chișinău. The event gathered leaders and representatives from various fields to reflect on the National Program for Supporting the Roma Population and its implementation status. Topics discussed included the inclusion of Roma in the context of Moldova's EU accession, educational challenges of Roma refugees, social protection, health, and labor market inclusion.
Partnerships and UN support were central to the discussions, with participation from government representatives and civil society. Economic opportunities, including those in the labor market, were examined in the context of improving Roma participation in public life and combating discrimination. This initiative represents a significant step in promoting inclusion and improving the living conditions of the Roma population, contributing to the strengthening of the community and the promotion of fundamental rights for all members of society.
