On February 7, 2024, Tarna Rom organization participated in a pivotal workshop organized by UNHCR partners, aimed at addressing the educational needs of Ukrainian refugee children in Moldova. The influx of these children since February 2022 has posed significant challenges, including limited school capacity and language barriers.

The workshop focused on Conflict Sensitive Education (CSE), emphasizing the importance of creating a safe and inclusive environment for both refugees and host communities. Through interactive sessions and real-life case studies, participants gained valuable insights into implementing CSE strategies effectively.

Led by expert facilitator Andrea Naletto from UNICEF, the workshop provided a platform for participants to network and collaborate, fostering partnerships to improve educational practices in Moldova. By equipping stakeholders with essential knowledge and skills, this initiative strives to ensure that education becomes a catalyst for peace and resilience amidst crisis.
