Today, January 27, we mark the International and National Holocaust Remembrance Day. Tarna Rom participated with respect and solemnity in the ceremony held at the Memorial to the Victims of Fascism, where flowers were laid and a moment of silence was observed in honor of the Roma and Jewish victims of this historical tragedy.
During the event, speeches reminded us of the suffering endured by thousands of people—deported, tortured, and killed simply because of their ethnic background. These moments of reflection remind us that hatred and discrimination have no place in a society based on respect and human dignity.
Today, more than ever, it is essential to keep the memory of those events alive and to fight against antisemitism, racism, and all forms of hatred. Let us build a world where all people are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
